ABOUT GREG MADISON
Greg Madison is originally from western Canada.
He has lived, worked, and studied in Edmonton (Canada), Oslo,
Dublin, Sheffield, Brighton, and London. He is an experienced Chartered Counselling
Psychologist (BPS), Registered Psychotherapist (UKCP), European Certified
Psychotherapist (EAP), Accredited Mediator (UK Law Society and Bar
Council), and Country Coordinator for the Focusing Institute in New
York.
Greg has offered therapeutic trainings and Focusing
workshops worldwide, including New York, Canada, the UK, Ireland,
Greece and continental Europe. He has served on the faculties of
Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology training institutes and
universities in London, United Kingdom and Edmonton, Canada.
Greg has experience of working
psychotherapeutically and supervising in various settings. He has
worked with young people on the streets of inner city Dublin, Sheffield,
and London. He has counselled sex workers, worked with patients and
families in an HIV hospice, and worked with clients around issues
of gay and minority sexualities. He has worked as a therapist
with international university students, high level corporate executives, and has developed and managed
an NHS psychotherapy service in a large acute London hospital. Greg
has also worked with psychiatric in-patients experiencing post-traumatic
stress and has offered clinical supervision to counsellors at various
mental health agencies. He currently lectures in London and supervises psychotherapists for the NHS in Brighton.
