This workshop offers an opportunity to develop your form of therapeutic practice so that it incorporates information from bodily experiences. This experiential approach is informed by a tight integration of philosophy, theory and the mindful approach of Focusing. Focusing was developed over 60 years ago and by enhancing the client’s experiencing level during sessions, it has been positively correlated with successful change in therapeutic outcomes. It is based upon the theory and philosophy of implicit experiencing described by the American philosopher Eugene Gendlin. Focusing, as it will be presented in this workshop, has been integrated into many different approaches including emotion-focused therapy, process therapy, somatic experiencing, trauma work and pre-therapy modalities….
